How is it my last day in India?! Feel like i've barely scratched the surface, so much more I want to do. Spoke to someone who stayed at an Ashram and it sounds really cool (yes thats right mum I want to stay at an Ashram hehehe!), will have to do it next time! Kochi is lovely, really laid back. Went for a look around the main sights of Fort Kochi, a basillica, the oldest European built church in India, a palace with some of the most amazing paintings i've seen inside, and went to a Jain Temple. That was really cool, so peaceful and everyone was really helpful and friendly, seems a very interesting religion. Also went for another massage and then had fresh seafood for my tea, such a hard life! Found a great little place to hang out, probably spent far too much time in there eating cake tho! Went on a trip to the backwaters yesterday, completely stunning. Picture perfect! Stopped at a few little settlements along the way, and at a spice plantation. Had traditional Keralan lunch on an island in the middle of nowhere, and stopped off and had coconut fresh from the tree! The backwaters really are lovely, all lined with palmtrees, and little streams and lakes everywhere. Went to a Kathakali performance too, very 'different'! Glad I went but think it went a bit over my head! Its all to do with facial expressions and gestures, probably one of the strangest things ive sat through if im honest! An experience tho! Train to Chennai tonight and then flying to Thailand early hours of Saturday, am very sad to leave India but so excited about Thailand! More adventures to come! love love love xxx
