Hello again, Sorry it has been a while since my last post.
On the 14th we had a bit of a lazy day (shocking, i know!). We watched some tv in our lovely room then in the afternoon Jess, Sabrina, Georgia and I went and had a pedicure and a manicure, we are really living the hard life at the moment! That evening Amber and I went to Lotus bar to meet some of her friends who were all really lovely. I bumped into Dan, a guy i met in Ko Pha Ngan, so that was nice to catch up with him.
On the 15th Sabrina's friend Charlie came up and watched some TV with us whilst telling us about his eventful night (being arrested for the possesion of cannabis and bribing his way out of a jail sentance). We then met up with Chantal, Kelly, and Rachel and went to Aulouk bay which was beautiful. Rachel and I did some snorkling but headed in after about 20 minutes because we were being surrounded by barricuda. That eveing we all went back to Lotus bar.
On the 16th we had another relaxing day. We watched the end few episodes of gossip girl and skins. In the evening we met up with Amber's friends again and went to a really nice Tapas bar. The food was really lovely but there were loads of problems with the bill which was a pain in the arse. We went to bed after our meal and watched a bit more TV!
On the 17th we travelled from Ko Tao to Ko Phi Phi. We left at 8.30pm and got a 9 hour ferry across to Surat Thani. The ferry was quite comfortable, there were thin matresses laid out along the floor which you could try to sleep on. I was sandwiched between Sabrina and a stranger but actually managed to sleep quite well. After the ferry we had a bus ride for a few hours then another ferry across to Ko Phi Phi. We arrived at 1pm on the 18th so it was quite a long time to be travelling. We then checked in to a very basic room, which seems a million miles to the one we left behind in Ko Tao, then headed to the beach close to us. The beach was a bit disappointing. The sand was a bit sludgy and the water was really warm so you had to walk really far out to actually cool down. That evening Sabrina and I went to Apache bar and Ibiza bar to get a free buckets and we all then watched a dance show.
On the 19th we had some yummy breakfast then went to a beach on the otherside of the island by the pier. This beach was really nice and we spent the entire day there. That evening we went to watch Thai boxing at the Reggee bar, they were getting the customers to get up and have a go which was just hilarious.
On the 20th we went on a boat trip around Ko Phi Phi Don and Ko Phi Phi Lay. We went to Monkey bay and saw lots of monkeys, then we went to Shark point but unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to see any sharks. We then went to Viking cave, Bamboo island, Pi lay bay, and Maya bay (where part of 'The Beach' was filmed). To get to Maya bay you have to scramble over rocks holding onto ropes whilst trying not to be washed away by the increasingly strong surge, once you have made it through you have to go for a bit of a walk across the island. It was a really good day and i had such a good time snorkling - i saw Nemo!! By the time we got to Maya bay it was a bit overcast but we still managed to get some good photos. That evening we watched Slumdog Millionaire whilst having our dinner and we all went to bed pretty early because we had worn ourselves out!!
I have added more photos to the 'Ko Pha Ngan and Ko Tao' album and i have also put the photos of Ko Phi Phi so far up in a seperate album.
I hope you are all well. Lots of love
Sara
