Vietnam you beauty! It's time to say goodbye - I will be back. I have absolutely loved Vietnam! Such a crazy place but so fascinating. It's incredible how much I have learnt about this country and the war in just 2 weeks! There's so much more that I'd like to see when I come back.
I surprised myself by enjoying the food and will cook Vietnamese food back at home (for myself hahaha). Although Saigon has corrupted me as I've had KFC, McDonald's, Burger King and Subway in 3 days! Opppps!
The weather has been amazing too, hot everyday! No sun bathing though, busy busy busy. I went to a water park the other day - so much fun!
I went to the Cu Chi tunnels for a day trip and it was crazy to see how they use to live. I went through a tunnel - completely freaking out inside lmao. It's so tight!! Had to crouch as low as I could and shuffle along waiting for the end. I can't believe the Vietnamese people spent 20 years down there. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo because my main mission was to find the exit! Ha. Ohh yes, I also shot a gun!! I choose the M16, the gun the Americans used in the war and shot away. About took my shoulder off with the force. I think I enjoy shooting!! Clay pigeon shooting anyone?
All the way through Vietnam backpackers ride motorbikes or scooters to get around. So many times I considered renting one for the day but I'm not so great on just a push bike so decided against the idea hahaa. I did however go on the back of a bike yesterday for a few minutes on the way to getting a bus. The company picked me up on it haha pretty cool.
Again I've met some amazing people in Vietnam who I will stay in touch with. I'm actually excited to come back! Maybe I won't come home for a few more months?? Just jokinggg :)
Bring on Cambodia!
