Akureyri, Iceland is located on Iceland's longest fjord, Eyjafjordur, and has been settled since the Vikings arrived in the 9th century and has long been dominating fishing due to an ice free port. We are docking in Fiskitangi. Highlights are the church, waterfalls, and Motorcycle Museum of Iceland. Donna I is winged-it today and took the Free City bus # 6 to the Icelandic Motorcycle Museum. Donna and I took the free city bus up to the Salvation Army/Red Cross shop, which we had seen from the bus yesterday. We then took a shore excursion to Godafoss (of the gods) waterfall and the Botanical Gardens. Stunning waterfalls and river, and just a stellar day to be there. Fresh, crisp air and sunny.
