Sept 2 -second day at sea Very calm seas today, and the thick overnight fog has cleared. Beautiful sunny day at sea. Went to an informational lecture regarding St John's, Newfoundland, "The Rock", our last stop before heading to NJ. It is the oldest city in North America. Half-hour time zone difference tonight. Eastern coast is "glacier alley". This is my second visit to Newfoundland; last was in 2014 on motorcycle trip. So, it will be interesting to see it ...

Sept 1 - day 1 of 3 days at sea Crossed the Arctic Circle at 12:15am this morning. The Captain came over the loudspeaker to announce it, and to also announce that you could see the Aurora Borealis on both sides of the ship. We could see them from our balcony on the starboard side.
