After a lazy day in which we did very little except eat, sleep and catch up on emails, 5 pm saw us back at Eden Park and ready to do it all over again only this time we were there to watch the All Blacks play Argentina.

Whilst enjoying pre dinner drinks and canapes in the same 3rd floor lounge as yesterday we settled down to watch Australia play South Africa on one of the big TV screens. It was quite a tense game and was made more interesting because one of our table companions was Australian and one was South African and there was a lot of banter going on throughout the game! Of course, it all ended in tears for SA and we thought that John was going off to end it all but luckily he soon recovered! Our speaker tonight was Jake White, the coach in charge of South Africa's RWC win in 2007. Naturally he was a little bit subdued after tonight's result!

We had an excellent dinner then headed upstairs to watch the game. The Argentinians did themselves credit and I think the All Blacks were just a tiny bit worried on some occasions!! Small comfort, but in some ways it was actually more relaxing and enjoyable to watch the game without having an emotional stake in it! Afterwards it was back down to the lounge for more food and drink. We were really enjoying ourselves and having some great conversation with the other guests at our table. We''ve no idea how it happened, but suddenly we were the last ones there! Yes, we were indeed the very last guests to leave Eden Park but we promise we won't make a habit of it!!
