After checking into our luxury beach accommodation (real flash packer style) we got some much needed lunch, before a wander along the beach to explore. Arriving at the town, we were very hot and sweaty so opted to get a taxi back to chill on the beach.
That evening we rented 2 scooters and the four of us went to the night market. Another disappointing market, as most of them have been in Vietnam! However the seafood spread was pretty impressive.
We were a bit delayed with getting out the following day, as rainy season has hit and we experienced a rather large downpour! We eventually got on the 'road' which was actually a very bumpy dirt track. It ran all the way along the coastline which made for a good view. We arrived at our destination- São beach. White sands and clear sea...perfect! The rest of the afternoon was spent chilling there before heading back.
It was Clare's birthday so that evening we went for a nice meal on the beach. We then headed to a cool beach bar 2 minutes away with music and a bonfire!
We had decided that we would only be flash packers for the two nights, so we had to check out today. We checked into a new place just down the road which is much more of a backpackers hostel. It is also £6 a night in exchange for the £25 we paid the two nights before!
After checking into our new place, we met up with Sam and Clare to go and find a waterfall. After driving around for what felt like hours on the bumpy tracks in sweltering heat and getting nowhere, we decided we would head back to the beautiful São beach!
This evening we went to the most amazing pizza place before grabbing a chocolate feast and heading back to the hostel to devour it.
