What day is it? Gee sometimes it's hard to remember. We got up with no real plans today and gosh it feels good!
We were considering heading back to Yosemite today but I think we saw all we could yesterday with a short time and I want us to have enough time to enjoy what we see when we drive down the west coast.
After breakfast, washing and blogging We decided to make the drive to San Francisco which is meant to be 4 hours from Mariposa. It was 11am but we didn't want to waste too much of another day.
As we headed out of the forest we were back into the farming land. We crossed some wooly cows - they have to keep warm somehow I suppose. We also saw some strawberry fields and plum fields.
As we headed towards San Francisco the weather was looking pretty ordinary maybe we should have stayed.
There must have been a wind farm because there was a whole lot of wind turbines on the hills, a number of them weren't working but I'm sure the others were making up for it.
Driving in the pelting rain in possibly the most chaotic traffic we have seen here so far. Mike was a nervous wreck. And the GPS as per usual was not helping much. Bit confusing when there is 5 lanes splitting into overs and unders!
We eventually made it to the Candlestick RV park. Which is right across.from the 49ers stadium.
It was cold and wet and really quite miserable. I twisted micks arm to get the heck out of the rv because it was really quite draining with the rain about. We caught a cab to the Westfield shopping centre and slowly the damp mood changed and we were enjoying ourselves again. Phew!
Dogs go where they like here. There was a few dogs at Target in shopping trolleys. We were blown away. Gave us quite a giggle.
