Well goodbye Sydney! It's been a brief but memorable relationship and who knows we may even get back together sometime. Yesterday was a bit more cultural with a trip to the local zoo via a cable car which was fun and then off to the Darlinghurst theatre to see 'a paris letter' which was all about living life by being true to yourself and making the most of things. Wow what a contrast! Arriving in ulurua (Ayres rock) Initially I couldn't find my luggage and the guy in front of me was going crazy at the quantas staff as apparently his luggage didn't make it in time (was it too busy in the duty free?) once I did arrive in the first hostel I have ever stayed in (!), I met my two fellow backpackers, a sweet Danish women and an Ozzie who works locally and is only staying here so he can drink! So should be an interesting night......

Yesterday was a bit of a strange one. My hopes of getting a ticket to the just announced kylie anti tour while I'm in Melbourne were dashed when they sold out....immediately! Today Derek and I set off for a day trip to the blue mountains, about a 2 hour train ride away from sydney. Some beautiful sights even though it wasn't very sunny. Although that didn't bother me too much as I'm still nursing some sunburn from the super strong Ozzie sunshine!
