Hiii!!

We made it to Laos and it only took 22hrs on a bus!

Laos was very similar to Thailand - same same but different ;)

We saw giant waterfalls and stayed in a wonderful place by the river with an amazing view!

Vientiane is the capital where there's not much to do but eat and move on to the next place. We stayed at a place called soukxana where the owner lady was wonderful and showed us where to go to eat and see etc. We also met a lovely couple who we walked to temples with and had food with. There's a lot more to do than first impressions when you know where to go :)

Vang vieng is where tubing used to be famous - they've now shut it down as too many people were dying. It's a pretty sorry excuse now.

Luang prabang is a lovely little town with lits of history and sightseeing. Lots of wats (of course) and lots of nature like waterfalls, springs, trekking etc. Lots of little places along the river and history. We spent some time at the uxo centre where we learnt about the unexploded bombs around Laos. The most bombed country in history.

We then went back to Thailand and stayed with our friends who are building a school. We stayed at the school and saw so much around Kalasin. We got to work on a rice farm and eat with their family - they'd never had food with white people before! They were so lovely and impressed that we could eat and live like they did! Rice pulling is hard work and they only get paid 150-200 baht a day! Which is like 3 quid! We had a really wonderful time :)

We are now in khon kaen in a nice hotel recovering from some illness but we're fine :) next stop either north or south before going to Bangkok for Ruth's birthday :)

Then we're flying to Singapore for a few days before we go to Bali to see Eddy's family as they're going on holiday there. Then Kuala Lumpur before Cambodia then Thailand again.

Then America baby!!! Vegassssss!

Really looking forward to the States :)

We haven't had much internet in Laos and where we were before in Thailand but have lots now so can Skype all day!! :D that goes especially to you, Nanny snoos!!!
