Heyloo!
Well we've been here for over three weeks now and are really starting to get into then swing of things. Picking up lots of Thai and trying some incredible food!!!! The Thais really love their food!
There's these traditional Thai pancakes that you get from street vendors that are made from little balls of batter like play dough! And they come out all salty and almost like pastry. They're lush! The ones in restaurants/hotels are like massive scotch pancakes!
Zorbing was amaaaaaaaaazing! Really scary. Got a few bumps and bruises but was so worth it! Was really scary. I almost didn't do it! Haha! But it was great and we had a fab time! Met a British couple and some Aussies who took pics for us as we didn't have a camera with us!
So I'm pretty sure I wrote the last blog in patong, phuket. So from there we went to Karon beach which was beautiful and walked around three miles in the heat to okay mini golf! Haha! It was totally worth it! Karon was like patong but smaller and generally catered for tourists. The beach was amazing but the waves were huge and the red flag was flying. Great to see!! Washed up loads of little jelly fish.
We then spent four nights in ao nang - we were told the mini bus would take from 6am to 8.30am - but we're learning that time isn't really important here!! We arrived about midday. Lolllll! The hut we stayed in in ao nang was lovely owned by a French guy and his Thai missus. We liked ao nang - slightly less touristy so the food was a lot cheaper. The beach wasn't busy and we had a lovely massage!
Eddy's been doing muay Thai classes and getting really good! Practicing on me as usual ;) we're doing runs and stuff to stay fit. I'm looking at training up north as well for him of anyone has any suggestions!
I got to go horse riding!! Galloping along a beach and in the jungle! Was the best experience and I did my research to make sure they treated the horses well and they really did! Very happy horses. Got to gallop and jump over logs in the jungle. Although the red ants you get here are huge like the size of a wasp at home and bite horribly! I had to duck to miss the trees but they still fell down and got caught in your clothes and bit! But I didn't notice Cos it was so awesome!! Haha! Eddy videod me zooming past on the beach :D we haven't been able to get any pics onto the computer for the blog yet as they're all still on the camera but I'm guna take some on my phone and put them on :)
There was a power cut in the whole of south Thailand last week from about 7pm til the morning. It was a bit scary at first but then it was great as everyone came out into the streets for street food - as restaurants couldn't serve food obv - it was a really nice :)
After ao nang we got the bus to krabi and stayed one night. We went to the walking weekend market which was so good! We ate like kings for under five quid! I got this fresh coconut ice cream in a coconut shell the best ice cream I've ever tasted! Eddy had chicken, chicken, more chicken and a bit of chicken!! Haha!
We then went to sort out our trip to siboya which is where we are now. It took an hour bus, boat and truck to get here but it was so worth it! The island only has one resort on it and its all eco friendly huts etc. Not hot water or TV etc. But it's amazing. There's only four other people here and it's dirt cheap. £7 a night and the food costs the same for both of us a day. The food is unbelievable. On par with phanom bencha!
We're playing badminton and football and running on the beach. The beach is completely deserted - a few local women come out when the tide is out and collect the oysters not he rocks. The sunsets are the best I've ever seen. I've taken lots of pics :) pink and purple skies against black silhouettes of multiple uninhabited islands.
We made sandcastles today - eddy made his bigger and bigger and I decorated mine with little pink shells and big twisty ones and clams etc.
Had wonderful food again tonight. Now chilling and reading our books and writing in our diary.
We're planning on being here for at least five days so until the weekend but probably longer as it's so lush!
There's a good internet connection in the office most of the time so you can contact us email/Skype/whatsapp/Facebook quite easily :)
Signing out once again. Love you all loads and we'll keep you posted xxxxxxxxxxx

Ross Mcclelland Hey Eddie, seems like your having a wicked time, and enjoying Thai food. All the food in asia is amazing tho. I look forward to hearing more of you and Ruth's travels. Let me know where you are travelling too and I'll see if I can find some of the emails I have from places I stayed and visited in south east Asia. I can also maybe give you a few tips if i can remember too. Have fun (easy I know) and keep safe ;-)
