We were met by one of our hosts in the middle of a square, not knowing where we would be staying. Luckily it was quite close by and they meet all of their guests in the square to avoid any confusion with the narrow lanes leading to the apartment. It was nice enough, no outside windows, but it would do for a few nights. After a bit of a rest, we headed out in search of a supermarket for dinner. Turns out we are in a perfect little place, supermarket less than 5 mi...

So we've just spent 2½ wonderful days relaxing and soaking up some proper sunshine on the beach in Ferragudo with the Blacks/Oliver-Blacks (Robin, Judith, Rosanna, Daniel, Layla and Molly - Hi Guys!) This was what we needed; a few friendly faces, beach time and flip flops! The good thing about going to a beach town is that there is no real sight-seeing required. So, on our last night in Bordeaux, we got a message from our next host saying that he had to work until 7pm, so could not let us into the apartment until then. Bang went out first day on the beach! Arrived at the train station in plenty of time for the train to San Sebastian, all we had to do was print off our tickets. Well, we got one out of the machine but not the second…so faced with a massive slow moving queue at the ticket counter and only 20 minutes...
