Quick summary of London:
Bon Jovi day 1, watch PBS soon and Im sure it will be televised.
Day 2, I started with an open top double decker bus tour, this gave a quick (2 hour) tour of London. On a beautiful 34 degree sunny day it was a bit much. I stopped half way to see the tower of London. As I left the crown jewel show room I saw the line behind me was several hundred people. Tip for London on the weekend, be early! The tower was quite amazing and well worth the time to see. Next on the list I hit up the national gallery. One of Londons many free attractions, it housing an amazing collection of artwrok, and you could easily spend an entire day browsing (especially in the air conditioning!). With the heat of the day this was just about all I could take for the day, and after a great fish and chips dinner I called it an early night, hopefully I'd be over the jet lag soon.
Day 3 started out with a tube journey over to Buckingham Palace, and a peaceful breakfast in the park while I awaited the changing of the guard. Although it is one of the things to see, I don't think I would suggest it, as you need to be there early, and it takes up almost half a day.
From here I moved on to lunch, and the London Eye. Quite the attactration, it offers a great view of all of Greater London, showing you just how big it is. With views of some of the amazing architecture and great photo opportunites (also air conditioning on another sunny 32 degree day).
Next a quick nap, yes I am on vacation, and then Shakespeare at the round house, Much Ado About Nothing, was a great show, with the audience all laughing and really into it, This is the only way to see Shakespeare, cushion rental suggested.
Leaving the theatre, hunting through London at night for a tube station was an interesting challenge, luckily when my double decker bus driver was in an accident and destroyed two vans, I wondered this area and new where to find a station now! Great views of London Bridge at night!
Day 4: Tube ride to Harrods, rode the egyption escalator and left, Impressive store, but still just a department store. Next onto to Hyde Park to see the Prince Albert and Princess Diana memorials and a nice relaxing walk to the Science and Technology museums. Lots of fun at the museum but far too many school trips, I guess this would be a better weekend attraction? As all museums are closed in the evening I guess that would be be the other option.
From here lunch, with a new type of Stella (why cant we get this back home! Stella Black, amazing). On to the British Museum, which I just discovered is only two blocks from my hotel. A great collection of ancient greece, one of the best I have ever seen, and a small but good collection of Native American artifacts.
Now awaiting the orientation meeting for the Contiki tour in 30 minutes, and then hopefully time for dinner!
We leave for Amsterdamn in the morning.

Bernadette So far your adventure sounds amazing!
Mike Sounds great Drew! Can't believe the heat you're getting. Hopefully it will break soon. The Greek collection at the BM is THE collection. The Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon are incredible and one of the world's great undoing colonial controversies.
