What to say about the Netherlands...
We arrived late in the day for a quick dinner and headed into the red light district. Everything you've heard is true :-). Our tour leader took us on an insightful trip through the red light district, and straight to "Live Sex on Stage". Yes, it is what it sounds like, a theatre with a stage and people going at it. Afterwards we wondered about and hit up a few bars and explored the famous coffeeshops.
The next day we headed into Edam for a bike ride on "granny bikes" visiting the famous dikes, and windmills.
Ending off our time in Edam with clogs and cheese, a nice change of pace learning about these art forms.
We then headed back into Amsterdam for a free day. I visited the Anne Frank house, the heineken experience, and wondered some of the amazing streets with there tilting buildings. In the evening we had a group Chinese dinner (excellent) and the a booze cruise on the canals (which was all you can drink, and we tried to win).
We then returned to the hotel bar to keep the party going.
Stay tuned, next up, St. Goar Germany, and then on to Lucerne Switzerland (where I am now as I write this)
