Just a quic one - according to the machine I have exactly 5 minutes to write. Thank you everyone for your messages so far - we've just read them and wanted to reply quickly - we're currently in Khao San Road where it's ridiculously hot!

No Dad, we're definately in Bangkok, not Preston. The river is just as dirty as the docks but has much more interesting boats on it. All without apparent health and safety qualifications.

Yes I have been adventurous in the food stakes! The Cinema we went to was in the paragon centre, still pretty impressive. I am definately more eloquent than Roy, but then that can't really be a surprise to you all.

No the riots were not down to us - we cleverly avoided them, though the sounds of chanting and cheering were quite close on our first night. But glad you think we're capable of such things. Thanks Mr Dances with Wolves.
