Hello All you time wasters!
Long time no read-sorry about that but we were in Ko Phi Phi for 5 days and it was so beautiful we completely forgot all about you! We are now in Koh Samui and have just arrived found a cool beach bungalow, eaten seafood and now we're updating all the lovely people without tans.
We left Chang Mai and its fabulous night bizaar and headed down to Krabi via a one day stop in Bangkok-which I truely hate! We got abondoned by a tuk tuk driver in the middle of the city as we refused to see any more tasilors or jewellery shops-thanks for that Kev and Aimee.
The overnight bus to Krabi was pretty cool, with movies etc, until we realised someone had gone through our belongings during the night-the day bags at out feet! A dutch girl had been robbed first and came and advised us to check our stuff-fortunately only one old credit card was taken.
Krabi (Ao nang beach) was pretty(see pic) but so quiet like most of SE asia at the mo-a little too quiet. (hope you appreciate all the dashes Pete).
Ok I'm taking over now, can't take any more of roy's slow typing and bad grammar... we spent a couple of days on the beach at Krabi, bumped into friends we met doing the Intrepid trip through Cambodia and Vietnam which was cool, then we organised a ferry to Phi Phi Island. We'd heard such good things about it, and weren't disappointed. It's a tiny island so there are no cars, only bicycles. You can walk everywhere, there's a very cool little town area and the whole island was full of other backpackers. We didn't have great accommodation - Roy has been bitten about 1000 times from bed fleas, and the shower was no more than a cold drip. The beach right next door made up for it though!
Roy wasn't happy with the no waves and the water was very shallow but it was still gorgeous. Experienced a cool beach party, saw Thai kickboxing which was vicious, enjoyed a couple of lightning storms on the beach and saw a 4 year old boy waving fire around! One day we went snorkelling on a trip to Maya Bay, where The Beach was filmed which was beautiful but we had to wade through rocky water to get there as the water was too rough for the boat to take us. The long boat we were on made Roy religious, I'm sure we almost capsised 6 times. Glad to be back on dry land!
We grudgingly left Phi Phi this morning and travelled all day on boat and bus to Ko Samui off the other coast. So far Lamai Beach where we're staying seems cool!
Thanks for all the messages - Mum and Dad sorry the phone line was so bad, hope this email gets to you ok. And yes I do have a new hat! Charlotte, you truly are the blondest brunette I know to only find this page now! But yes, we're in for some celebrating when I return, but not too early in the morning. Thanks Harry and June and the Vans and the Manns - tell Emily we can't find her in Thailand either :-( Ann and Godfrey - so glad you guys are following our trip! Part of me really wishes to be at panto again, but it's just not possible from Thailand's little islands! And everyone who is worrying - I will stop Roy from drinking any more suspicious animal-esque drinks. Well, I'll try...
Gotta go now, the England game is on here at 2am so we have to try and find a way of staying awake, or maybe we'll just go sleep and avoid the Thai brides tonight. Hope all is well wherever you are, lots of love, XxX

Ruxy Watching you performing on your video at my old coeglle (CSULB) if I didn't know better I would have thought you were channeling Carol Burnett! Peerlessly okay, almost peerless crafted and impressively executed you presented a captivating experience on stage. The weekly network variety show passed into television history decades ago with a few exceptions today like the Tonight Show or the occasional special here and there. It takes someone a cut above with a bold presence, panache, versatility all expressing the power of personality every week. Well maybe with a practical nod to a bi-weekly or monthly schedule but I think you might fit the bill for the kind of edgy performer to breath new life into the old format. You certainly can hold an audience all by yourself. So give it some thought, okay? And I think the kids will watch too.
