Germans drive fast. Very fast. Last night I travelled with a couple of mates to look at a motorcycle (more on that later) in a souped up Audi stationwagon. Pretty sure I have never travelled that quick in anything with tyres. This was followed by a tour of a garage the size of a football pitch that housed about 100 million euros worth of rare and collectible cars. All of them in immaculate condition.
The bike is an F650 BMW. A bit old but low kms and pretty clean. It will be all mine on Tuesday. Not as powerful as I'm used to but maybe that is a good thing. It has boxes too. All for less than 2000€.
Caught the train to Dortmund today. An industrial town. A lot of Turkish and African immigrants. Went to a motorcycle shop and grabbed a few last minute things.
I caught up with Andre in an outer suburb of Dortmund this afternoon and went and bought a few last minute items again.
I am keen to get going on the road soon. I don't think I will be around for long once the bike is right. I need to get to Croatia by the 22nd of this month.
