We arrived in Abu dhabi after a gruelling 14 hour flight, departing melbourne at 10pm aus time and arriving in the capital of the  UAE at 6am there time, where it was a steamy 31 degrees! The length was not soo bad, it was more the fact i had chronic food poisoning and ryan had to nurse me haha.. Our flight into Athens took 4 hours from Abu dhabi. Finally getting to our brand new refurbished hostel in Athens 100m from the acropolis and other major ancient ruins, alongside a bar that serves pints of mythos (beer) for 2 euro.. We got some gelato while a young child gypsy tried to take advantage of us tourists.
