The lovely Austria girls pulled up at our bus stop to pick us up the hostel,
Drove us in peak hour traffic back to sabrinas apartment. They spent 2 1/2 hours in the car to get us in traffic !! We felt rather bad. We arrived at their great apartment with a Balinese feel to it ! Sabrina had decked it out with bamboo, trees, black and white couch with green canvas pics on the walls ! Awesome. We just chilled out with Tamara and Sabrina, We shouted them pizza that they recommended, it was delicious. We watched futurama, spongebob, two and a half men all in GERMAN haha yep in German... Factual expressions were essential from Charlie sheen so we knew what was going on ! Haha it was kinda weird but so much fun staying at someone's house we had met once. The girls were so so generous :)
Apparently at Oktoberfest when we saw them I made some sort of promise that they could cut my hair. So it seems as though I'm leavin Vienna in a few days with a slightly shorter mop !
The girls were too too nice, making us special energy tea, setting up the massive lounge into a bed for Ryan and I. Sabrina was so kind to even ask was she allowed to sit on our bed to do her work the next day !!
( it is her lounge and apartment) we felt like royalty.
Day 2- once again Ryan and were cutting it fine- making it to the bus for our winery bicycle tour right on time ! We were staying in the 1st or 2nd district out of the city which was similar to kew!
We headed to the wachua valley which was a unesco heritage listed wine region ! On the way there we passed a monostry where monks make wine; it was built in 1070 ! Wow
For someone who never drank wine until he arrived in Europe, Iam now really enjoying it thanks to ryans influence and the European culture. sweet wine would have to be my favourite haha. The tour took us through valleys full of beautiful green vineyards along the river.. Later in the evening Ryan and I once again just relaxed with the girls back at the apartment.
Day3- Tamara showed us around Vienna, the city she is ever so passionate about. Walking us around town to the famous museums, the PALACE- this was amazing, seriously one of the biggest monuments I had seen the entire trip, it's land included a courtyard area which had a zoo, maze park, lake, tea house 5 times the size of a Kew mansion and views over Vienna that were really pretty. We saw squirrels as well haha
She also took us to a traditional Austrian coffee shop, Which had delicious coffee and only locals really new about it as from the street it looked closed.. The waiters were bow ties and all.
Later that night we hit up viennas biggest club. It was 3 massive rooms with different styles of
Music and lighting.
