Arrived in Chiang Mai extremely tired after our epic journey!!!! Didn't get very much sleep at all on the train. It was far to noisy and bumpy!!!!! Met up with friends of Rich's friends, who showed us around. Me and Rich tried our hands at the climbing wall in the Night Bazaar, but Rich being scared of heights didn't get too far. But I made it to the top and rang the bell. I was well chuffed!!!!!! Went on a mountain trek yesterday and visited some of the Hill Tribe villages. Also had a ride on an elephant and floated down the river on a bamboo raft. Stepped off the raft with a bit of a wet bum!!!!!! But wasn't quite as wet as our 'driver'. He fell in and got drenched!!!!!!! It's our last day in Chiang Mai today and we're off to visit a couple of temples before catching the overnight bus to Bangkok. Gonna head to the Cambodian border tomorrow!!!!!!!
