Arrived in Singapore yesterday morning to pouring rain!!!!! Not seen rain for a while!!!! If you could ever imagine going from one extreme to another, we've just done it!!! Where Delhi is so traditionally old, poor, dirty, dusty and smelly, Singapore is the complete opposite - so green, vibrant, clean, modern, bright, rich and young!!! Just the tonic after India!!!! Slept through quite a bit of yesterday, as didn't get any sleep on the plane, but from wandering through China Town and down by the river late yesterday afternoon and evening, we both decided that we really like this place - a lot!! The only drawback so far is the heat. It's so hot and muggy. Even at night the sweat just drips off you. Thank god our room has air conditioning!!! And the shopping malls (of which there are hundreds) are all air conditioned too and provide us with much needed cooling!!! Not got any real plans for our few days here, only relaxing and visiting the Night Safari at some point. Must dash, there's a queue for the PC!!!!!
