Okay this will be short as have already tried once and photos are not uploading!!!! After a nine hour journey we reached Yangshuo - a fantastic little town which is seriously busy, full of little bars, shops and restutants. It is surrounded by this massive hills (see pic) apparently they were used as the inspiration for the flaoting hills in the film Avatar!! - they are very similar. The birthday celebrations!! The other guys on the trip are amazing!! They totally surprised me with a cake made of ice cream - strawberry. basically layers of biscuit and strawberry ice cream - managed to munch through two slices, could have easily eaten the whole thing. Just a quick one. Have been enjoying my birthday. Went to a small place on the river to see the sights and eat some more weird food. Ate some marinated posr, a massive raddish fried ball and FROG!! yes marinated and steam frog - very tasty. Off in a minute to find some more markets, sights and sounds and then we are heading to a kareoke bar to celebrate in style.
