Ross and Natalie's Travel Journal
We are in Phnom Pen at the moment (capital of Cambodia) and visited the Grand Palace and the National Museum. It is very sad to see the vast wealth of the King in contrast to the poverty stricken nation. They say that it is changing though. Today was a very emotional day, we visited the Genocide Museum and The Killing Field's. The Khmer Rouge Pol Pot (they where a communist movement) killed almost 4 million Cambodians between 1975 to 1980 They tortured there own nation if they did not want to support the communist revolution...it was really horrific how they treated them and mass graves are everywhere. They killed for no reason. It is only about 25 years ago that tourist where allowed to visit. We also went to a shooting range and Ross fired 25 bullets out of a AK47 and his results where on target! You can shoot with any kind of gun of your choice but he went for the AK.
Leaving for the beach tomorrow only been 10 days we haven't seen one and we our missing them already.
