Hey,
In the morning we got up with stinking hangovers and boarded our 2hr ferry to Krabi town, which for the first time ended up being a bit bumpy, so we both sat on the top deck in the nice breeze. Once we arrived in Krabi town we went for a look around trying to find something interesting. The best thing we came across was a KFC, the mash potato was out of this world. Soon after we hit the sack as we had another early start to get to Malaysia.
The following morning we were up at sunrise. We jumped straight into a minibus and started our 6hr journey to the port followed by an hour ferry crossing to Langkawi. Once in Langkawi you could see the island was going to be way more relaxed than prevoius stops in Thailand. We soon found an average hotel andwent out to explore. Our first impressions was that it was very cheap and relaxed. Instead of pumping music on the beach, you would have small family run bars playing reggae music. Its nice.
The next day we got up and had a beach day relaxing, we also hired out jetskis for 30mins each and ripped it around. So much fun and now we both want one when we get back lol. That evening we had dinner and headed down to one of the beach bars and relaxed.
The following day we hired out a car and drove around the whole island. We went to two seperate waterfalls which were stunning and we also jumped on a gondola to the highest point on the island (we needed to get in a gondola atleast every ski season, regardless if there is snow or not). The views from the top were absolutley amazing, you could see for miles. Getting a car out isn't the cheapest option but it's definatley a brilliant way to see the whole island, and it was nice for us both to drive again. That evening we ate cheap as we had spent alot throughout the day.
The day after we had another beach day, unfortunately Ross got a bit sunburnt as he was in the sun all day, the heat out here is something we have never experienced. Its both humid and hot, we couldn't live without an aircon room lol.
The following day we got ready to leave Langkawi as we were heading to Kuala Lumpur in the evening. We have loved a bit of R&R on this beautiful island, if you want a relxed holiday we would defo recommend Langkawi
