Hi Rosie,
Glad to hear you are in a good place at the mo especially as you've done a great job of keeping yourself on the go with no real constant support on hand. Can't be easy.
Just when we've been treated to our first spell of Spring it's all back to the damp stuff - any chance of keeping up with your lush tan is a vague hope.
Last night they repeated the Top Gear trip when the three amigos did that road-trip from Saigon to Hanoi and beyond. A good time to reflect on some of your observations of the roads and countryside that you've written about - particularly as the boys did the trip on motorbikes. They were quite ebullient about it themselves. Do like the sound of your current location .
The week's news has been dominated by the G20 and Nato talks with the cameras following Obama and his 500 entourage. His limo which flies around with him has half inch steel plate and can also withstand a chemical attack, not that he appears to need it a present as he appears to be charming them wherever he goes and there haven't been too many protests going on. They also showed him live doing a speech to the masses in Wenserslace Square you'll be interested to know.
Also Jade Goody had her funeral yesterday. And the Frome Flyer won his second Grand Prix in a row.
Nice to hear people are thinking of meeting you up sometime. That's cool.
Sleep well.

Oh Pose, I feel for you on the camera situation. Unfortunately I have no useful suggestions but will ask around. I think you should buy a new one though if you can afford it, good investment as even though they might be more expensive out there they are normally much newer models than back home.
Where do you think you'll be at the end of May? I'm thinking of coming out to find you for a couple of weeks :)
Love and miss you lots beautiful! x

Camera Memory Cards =
I got a virus on my memory card whilst in Koh Samet. Firstly, dont panic, you can get the photos back. I did.
If you can find a cafe that has PC's with Norton antivirus, if you plug it in, the program often offers to clean up the card - decline that offer at first.
If you go to the tool bar and, (i think) select 'tool's you can ask the computer to show any hidden files that may be on the memory card - the virus I got simply hid all the files, it didn't delete them. You simply then ask to view all files and they might re-appear - worth a shot ??
Can you view the pics on your card in your camera ?
The camera shouldn't have the virus because it doesn't have a windows operating system inside.
After that I'm out of suggestions. Hope it helps.
ps - I am the lord of s***head now. There is no way you can beat me.
Take Care
Ross Clark
Hya.....
Just some quick advice on the camera situation. Don't throw the memory stick or cards away which have the virus's as the files may still be recoverable. even deleted files can be recovered from both SD Cards and memory sticks. I would state the obvious though and do not use either again.
And, this experience is worth spending a bit on a new camera so that u get good quality pics to remember it all by.
Hope that helps, speak soon.

Hi rosie
I have an answer for you regarding camera situation and you may hit me if there wasn't such a big distance!
Buy one of those really old school film cameras (the kind with no memory card and no viruses). hassle free easy peasy to use. Post home any films you have used and the whole thing will be a suprise when you get home and develop them.
I hear this kind of camera has been a hit for well over 100yrs.
Sorry for lame answer

Ro Ro, my daaaaaaarling!
We miss you! Last night I was curled up on sofa with blanket over me like a chicken nugget (remember??) and it made me think of you! I seem to have finally got the hang of this blogging malarky...ie. finally able to read back-dated issues, rather than just "today's" update! I'm loving the newly discovered 'photos' section too! I know you are tanning more, but you are still a little ghostly my lovely! :-)
Had a fab time in Tanzania...absolutely melted though; not sure how you coped! Don't even get me started on mozzie bites! Had similar experience to you with kids stopping in their tracks and staring at me as if I was new-found discovery! he he!
Am really enjoying hearing all about your adventures so keep them coming!
Stay safe and enjoy yourself!
Loads of love

Dear Rosie,
Easter holidays have arrived and time for a catch-up. Sorry not posted for a while with you doing all the hard stuff. The blogs and photos are keeping us all entertained and through the spectrum between horror and wonderment feels like a cross between Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Whicker's World; (Alan Whicker is currently doing a review of his 50 years of travels and interviews and is an amazing reminder of how the world has moved on in our lifetimes).
To keep you up with some of the events of last week: Jacqui Smith (Home Secretary) is in trouble again over her expense claims for her husbands cable adult movies; the Frome Flyer, aka Jenson Button won the first Formula One Grand Prix of the season (we know who might be pulling a few strings in that department, however he also needs to concentrate on Bristol City too if they are to make the play-offs). Red Nose Day made a shed load expecting to get somewhere towards 80m! As for the Soaps someone else will have to fill you in.
Apart from missing your own bed and a long soak in bubbles, what else are you missing? My guess would be something like Beans on Toast?
Met a distant relative of yours (and mine) last week when I went up to the churchyard. Jayne Walter is my second cousin once removed. Sounds complicated and you'd be right. We share a great grandmother( your great great grandmother on your paternal side). Jayne, now 50, lives in Wetlands Lane, works in Waitrose and yes you've guessed it didn't know her relation to George. She is doing her family tree and I've been helping her with what Auntie Terri has got on the subject. We hadn't seen each other for at least 35 years so long ago neither of us could put a date on it, and yes you've guessed it she hasn't changed a bit! Josh and Suzie came along to our lunchtime triste in Waitrose to say hello, which was great. There's still plenty to talk about so it won't be too long before we have another meet-up.
Hope Vietnam is turning out as good as you'd hoped.
Big hello to everyone on the blog from sunny Cornwall. Belated birthday wishes to Steve and any other bodies recently inflicted.
