Coral Bay was lovely. It was really hot and sunny and we spent the first day relaxing on the beach then jumping in the water as it was so hot. The snorkelling was good as the reef was really close to the shore. We got to play table tennis at the hostel and I got quite good although I still couldn't beat edd. Edd went on a sea kayaking trip out to the far edge of the reef and got some amazing pictures of turtles and fish.
We went on a massive walk round to the other side of the bay where there was a shark nursery. We saw lots of reef sharks and their babies, some sting rays and some weird orange jellyfish. rosie wanted to do a steve irwin and jump on the sting ray but i managed to stop her in time.
We decided that we wanted to get to New Zealand so we changed our flights to leave Perth on 20th January. We got to Perth on 14th January and had a great time. Edd played golf on an awesome course and I went to the zoo and ghot some really good pictures. We saw the mint which was a bit rubbish and went to a massive park. Edd went to a car museum and we had a look around some markets in Freemantle. We also went on a prison tour which was really interesting. We saw the gallows and the cells where the prisoners and convicts used to stay. We stayed at Spinners Hostel which was really nice, we watched some movies and a lot of family guy and south park.
We went out for our first meal in Australia. It's about the same price for food here as at home so we can't afford to eat out all the time like in Thailand so this was a treat. Edd wanted kangeroo steak but they didn't have any, rubbish said edd! We meet a nice couple from England who shared our dorm and got some good advice from them. They had been to Laos and told us about the lazt river where you can drift along in a tyre and be pulled in to get a beer and have a good on rope swings as you make your way down the river. Laos is definately now on our list of places to visit!
