Today my classroom was the road!
We drove 8 hours we made a stop on a beach at the Paringa River and collected awesome rocks. Then we went in a FREEZING COLD Paringa river. It's so cold because the water comes from melted glaciers. We drove some more then stopped for a little hike to see the Blue Pools. On the way there were 2 thin bouncy bridges across the river you couldn't have more than 10 people on them at a time! When we got to the Blue Pools I just HAD to stick my feet in. They were nice and clear with beautiful rocks all around them. I stuck my feet in and it was hot compared to all the other water we have touched. Sadly, we needed to go shortly after I only had 3 seconds with my feet in because my Mom and Dad were getting attacked by sandflies while me and my sisters were wading in the pools. Another cool thing about the hike was that it was 100% rain forest. You can tell you are in a rain forest because the plants are very different and it is a lot thicker and there are like 100 different kinds of interesting and strange plants you have never seen before!
