We went down a long and narrow pathway the get to the church were Jesus died, and was nailed to the cross. This wasn't just any pathway; it was a pathway full of shops. There were also big stairs going across the whole pathway. There was something good about this pathway. I realized this because I had fun, and if I had fun then there must have been some fun part about this pathway. I had fun well, because I mean, oh I can't explain it. I just had fun. Anyway, so now I'm walking down this pathway not knowing where it's going to end up. I do know that we are trying to go to the church where Jesus died. It took a while to get to the church, because of Course we stopped to buy things. Here is a list of everything we bought, Humsa, rosaries (to rub on the stone of unction), and a shirt for my uncle (who is a priest and its also to rub on the stone of unction) but or course we looked at many other things, even though we did not buy them. My family and I arrived at the wonderful monument for Christians, also known as church of the holy sepulture. Ma ma is holding my hand, because it just got crowded. It's not just crowded because it's popular, or because there are a lot of tourist! It's the day before Greek Orthodox Easter! The first thing we did was go to the cross where Jesus was hung to die. Then we went to the bottom and kissed it. (We were meant to.) Then we walked around for another 10 min, we got a candle and lit it from another candle, and then we hung it! By the time we were done exploring there was a little celebration, and I thought it was very nice. Although people were rude and pushy, my mom even had to get out her elbows! By the time we had gotten out of the church, we explored the town a little more. Then we made our way back to the hotel for some nice sleep, to get ready for a nice last day in this lovely place we call Israel. The next day we started out by having a tour to the same church we visited yesterday (A.K.A. the Church Of The Holy Sepulture). This time, we took a much different route. We didn't take our time and go around the city looking in shops, and going to the sacred wall (It's a wall that is the only wall left from the destruction of the war the people of Jerusalem think it is so special and sacred that they think it is rude to put your back to it, so you have to walk backwards!). Any who, this time we went on the same path Jesus went when he was carrying the cross with him!
Here they are…
First we went to were…
1) Jesus is condemned to death
2) Jesus carries his cross
3) When he fell the first time
4) Jesus meets his mother
5) Simon of Cyrene helps Jesus carry his cross
6) Veronica wipes the face of Jesus
7) Jesus fell for the second time
8) Jesus meets the women of Jerusalem
9) Jesus fell for the third and final time
10) Jesus' clothes are taken away
11) Crucifixion: Jesus is nailed to the cross
12) Jesus dies on the cross
13) Jesus is taken down from the cross
14) Jesus is laid in his tomb
Then we went to the total opposite side of his life, A.K.A. where he was born (Bethlehem). Since this time it wasn't just the day before Greek orthodox Easter, it was actually the Greek orthodox Easter and was very crowded again.
On the way there we went passed a shop, and we got some hand carved wooden pieces of beautiful sculptures. Any who, this was just an amazing experience, and I am very glad and grateful I got to see this!

Gran Gautney Thanks Rosie, for making this path real for me. The shops and the path don't seem to mix well but are certainly contrasting images! So happy you had this wonderful opportunity! Love, Gran
