We had booked a bus to Mersing where we would get a ferry to Pulua Tioman, an island off the east coast of Malaysia. It was an early start as we had to get to the bus station outside of town. We were happy to be leaving behind Wheeler's guesthouse and moving on to a town south of KL called Melaka. We were picked up by sawngthaew and taken to the boat ticket office, we were then taken to the boat in an oversized golf buggy and spent two and a half hours going to the mainland, we then jumped on a bus and waited in the bus office for our minibus to come and collect us.
