We are all, here safe and sound
Darryl came in at 9:30 from 30 1/2 hours traveling since Sydney. Excited to pieces and talking about the great trip he had. He can go into more detail, but he seemed really impressed by the service and was lucky to have some friendly people in the seats next to him. Scooted through Zurich and scooted through Stockholm-Arlanda before he realised he scooted all the way out of customs without us. Oops, quick message to tell us he was on the outside looking in.
Chris and I had a less than smooth flight from Tallinn. Nice weather and all but a smaller plane with twin props and less cabin pressure. So a few sore ears and nose blowing, but we also reach Stockholm safely. And we arrived at the baggage carousel and Darryl was nowhere. Check messenger and found out he was outside.
We, now being Chris, Darryl and Rod, hence Ro Ch Da, could now start part 2 of the Scandinavia 2016 adventure. Yes, hard to believe there is more to this than Eurovision.
We got the flybus into the city and had lots of news and catching up with each other. Chris finally got through to his dad which was a bit of a relief.
From Stockholm Central to our new hotel, as the other was not booked properly, was a simple affair of a metro and a bus. Bus stop out the front, key at reception and in to the room on the second floor. Three single beds cramped together to fit the arm chairs and the side table. But we have our own bathroom, breakfast, included and a big self catering kitchen and free laundry. So all in all not to bad a replacement.
There is a small shopping area about 10 mins walk away with supermarket, bottle shop, bank and cafe. Plus we are here to see Stockholm not hotel room walls.
Tomorrow we have a 10am entrance time to the ABBA museum and Chris got a gym membership to the gym next door so he can get his running in early.
We had a great dinner, a bottle of Chateauneuf de Pape, cheese, chocolate and bed after giving the laundry a workout to get all, and I mean all, our clothes clean having had no laundry for 6 days.
Plenty of blogs to come and selfies with 3 of us. Stay well, stay happy, and stay safe.
