Uber uber la la lalala. Don't mention the war. We've entered Germany. I've always said every good train journey needs a short boat trip on it. I am sitting in a train, on a boat beside a truck. And lunch was good too.
Breakfast in the hostel this morning was not so good. Mini sausages poured over scrambled eggs. Mmmmm. But the coffee is as good as usual.
Off to the station and a train to take us to Germany.
We have left Scandinavia. Not to return on this trip. We are in Europe, well we are now, the ferry has docked and we are back on the train and leaving the ferry onto Deutschland. In fact we arrived at the station of Puttgarden, Germany.
The land is still flat. Darryl got his opportunity to travel on a Baltic Ferry, even though it was only 45 mins it came with fish and chips and Black Forrest Cake. Chris had chocolate milk in a tin and I had red wine.
All in all a good crossing as people would say. They were usually referring to Southampton to New York. Dover to Calais, even Melbourne to Devonport. Not Rødbyhavn to Puttgarden. But it was a ferry and it was a crossing and there was wine, so we are ok with that after all we did change countries, language, currencies. All we need to complete the picture is Kate Winslet in a nice frock and Leonardo Di Caprio in a borrowed suit.
