Left Kalbarri and headed for Monkey Mia. It was only about a 4 hour drive, but 4 hours through basically nothingness. Stopped in town of Billabong for gas, there was a sign saying population 8! We made it to Monkey Mia and ended up upgrading our room so we had a fridge (insulin) which was a good choice, great garden view room close to everything. Now I should mention it was a little warm, 40plus degrees! But the beaches and pools were so nice. The next day brought the dolphin experience in which Lucas was chosen as 1/6 to feed a dolphin, so lucky! Afterwards the dolphins can frequently be seen just swimming by. Then the emus were like everywhere!

Truly was a place that's a bit out of the way but so glad we made the trip. Chance of a lifetime!
