Thursday 10th April - PerthWe arrived in sunny Perth at 6.00am.Securing exit aisle seats gave us a little more room, but didn't aid our sleep. We found the hire car and then had a right job trying to get all our luggage in the boot, eventually it fitted like a puzzle but one we need to remember where all the bits went! After finding the hotel we had breakfast then headed into town on the free bus which stopped right outside the hotel.Nice little shopping centre, Perth was really quite a neat town.Very tired from our flight we couldn't do it justice but had a good look around. In the evening we met up with Prashant - Selina's (Rob's sister-in-law) son who is studying at Univ West Australia. We all went out to dinner at a Korean restaurant recommended by Prashant, the food was excellent. We walked back to the hotel as the free bus had finished for the night, only to find that several exits we were trying to use had been locked, for some reason Perth gets locked up at night - well evening really it was only just after 8pm!!The next day we arose to brilliant sunshine, blue skies and a forecast of 28oC - bring it on!We decided to sample the delights of the Swan valley wineries. It was a good trip, we had wine, beer, cheese and chocolate tasting.I was the driver so missed out slightly but still enjoyed the day.We purchased a few goodies on route so went home to a supper of bread, cheese, olives, melons and grapes all locally produced and purchased during the trip, washed down with swan river wine and port.I could manage some of that every day.
