Up early for a quick breakfast before heading off to the temples. Our first stop was Angkor Thom - a quiet large temple with loads of budha carvings, then on to Bayon Temple and the Elephant Terrace. With the high humdity and steep stair this was a tiring morning, Was told that the stairs into the temples are steep and narrow on prurpose as the idea is you have to take them slowly and carefully thus given your compose your self and show reverance to the temple.
We had lunch at a local restaurant (Madame Buttifly's) a nice meal of local cusine after lunch we headed back to the hotel for a rest.
We then headed to Angkor Wat Temple (on of the seven wonders of the world- I am told) this was a HUGE temple with a large section of wall carvings and once again loads of very steep stairs. Definately worth the time spent exploring.
Upon returning to the hotel we had a quick shower before heading back into the town for dinner. We ended up at a very nice place and once again had some local food, Also notice that the market stall had some quiet unusual items for nibbles, (snake on skewers and fried spider - tranullas if think) but we did not sample these. After dinner and some drinks we had a good walk around and ended up at a small bar trying some local drinks (Cambodian whiskey - taste aweful, plus some other stuff not sure what it was but can remember it was like petrol.
Ended up a bit tispy and crashing around 2am
