Richard's Trip
A free morning was nice to sleeping in a bit, had a good breakfast and then headed to a local Khmer Village which was located on the shore of Tonie Sap Lake the biggest freshwater lake in southeast Asia. We then boarded a boat to check out the village and lake. The villagers live and work on the lake.
We then headed back to the hotel to pack before 3-3.5 hour drive to Battanabang. The hotel Bambu Hotel (www.bambuhotel.com) was a nice small hotel which seem to be popular with eurpoeans. After checking in we headed into the town centre and found a nice spot for a meal and a few drinks. Its amazing how sitting in a van really saps you of your energy and you have to really make an effort to get going but once on the move it easy to keep going.
