Lima is, in many ways, similar to London albeit the Peruvian capital is set on the pacific coast. Many people have had unsavoury things to say about Lima but I think its a fairly good city. Hola, thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes for yesterday. I am now 24 years old! It must be nearly time to get a job, move out and find a girlfriend! My birthday was full of mixed fortunes. So far I am very impressed by Peru - the scenery is breathtaking, the food is tasty and the locals are very helpful and genuine. With a population of just under 900,000, Arequipa is Peru's second city after the capital, Lima.
