Please excuse the borrowed photo. I've spent the last few days sipping screwdrivers here in Mancora which is one of South America's most treasured surfing spots. Its not too far south of the ecuator so the weather is hot every day which is a pleasure. I spent a long time on a bus in order to get here! The other day two whales came by which was interesting! They were making a splash a few miles out but were visable from the beach! I have been playing beach volleyball quite a lot and even won a few games when playing with an Argentine and a German! An unlikely winning combination of nationalities! I tried bodyboarding today but the current was too strong. I needed flippers but the Peruvian's couldn't cater for my already attached flippers. The ones I tried were too small so I just gave up and went back to the beach! This Thursday I will get a 16 hour overnight bus back to Lima, spend the weekend in the Peruvian capital and then fly back to Europe where people leave you alone!
