It's my birthday!!!!!!!  The parcels have been arriving over the last few weeks and thanks to the miserable customs laws they all have their contents written on the outside - luckily they're intercepted by my eagle-eyed carer, and subsequently removed!  

I have no idea what my day entails, but I've been told I need to be ready by 11 and not to wash my hair ?????  Hmm, I'm not sure whether to be nervous or excited!!!!

As it turns out my present is a hair appointment - what a fantastic surprise, and well needed as I've been moaning that I've done nothing but tie my hair up for the duration of our trip!!   I'm left in the capable hands of my stylist where I proceed to get a few colours, a cut and best of all have it straightened - nothing beats having someone else do your hair!

I leave feeling like a movie star - it really has been a long time since I had nice hair! - and we head to a local cafe for lunch.  The rest of the afternoon is spent at the beach and then back home to open my cards and presents.  There is a clear theme -  chocolate - thank you all, just what I need when I'm still moving at a snail pace!!  I love being away for my birthday, I always get spoilt more than when I'm home ;o)  I decorate the room with all the banners, balloons and cards that I've been sent.  Then a quick change and we head into Hamilton for the evening.  A curry and a few drinks finishes off a day of complete pampering - thank you everyone, especially Rich x x
