Hi everyone!!!

We are making our way up the west coast of malaysia now. We stopped off at penang by getting the ferry across from the mainland. We arrived at night and had abit of trouble trying to find somewhere to stay but eventually we did after going to 8 hostels!!!

In the morning we headed to the market where they sold so many different types of fruit and veg, was so colourful! Also went to the meat and seafood market but it smelt horrible!!! After we went to discover the rest of the island, but did not go to far as it was incredibly hot and sticky.

In the evening there were so many food carts on the street. We decided to go from stall to stall as we could not decide which one to go to. Penang is famous for food (not The c*** Hotel) and it lived up to its reputation, the food was fantastic. Half the time we had no idea what we were trying but that was the best part about it :).

The next morning we got the ferry very early to the island of langwaki. As we stepped off the boat the heat was intense. We got a taxi into the town and again struggled to find somewhere to stay! We eventually found a dorm room with 17 beds for 2 pounds a night, which is only 5 mins walk from the beach. This place is sweet, Rich shared a shower with a toad the size of my foot this afternoon. Mum you would have died!!

The beach is great! White sand, clear warm water with small outer islands. Only problem is it is soooooooo hot. We have both burnt now and I (Hannah) have been bitten so much!!! Rich must not taste as nice as he has hardly been bitten, not fair! We have also seen a few jelly fish but that has not stopped us going for a swim. In the evening we watched the sun set with a beer was beautiful :).

We leave for phuket, thailand, in the morning and we are unsure what we are doing after that. Prob go to ko phi phi and krabi we think. Trying to upload pics but as per usual computers are VERY SLOW!!! Paul Reilly would have a nervous breakdown their that slow!
