After leaving the worlds ugliest town (Uyuni) in the worlds ugliest Country (fact) we took a bus to Sucre, the first bus was shocking it had squeeky breaks, the road was so bumpy and the window i was nest to had a hole in it! We arrived in Potosi and changed to a much nicer more reliable bus.
When we got to the bus station in Sucre and headed straight for a hostel over the past 4nights we had very little sleep and been constantly on the move.
After some much needed rest we went out for a walk around the town. They have a 2-tiered market with bread and meat stuff on the bottom, again its so cheap, me and hannah had breakfast for 10p!! On the top floor there are fruits and veg and more meat! THe town has a nice little square which would look even better if it wasn´t under construction. All the side roads were full of interecting little stalls and little shops.
The next day was much of the same just walking around and sorting our bus tickects to La Paz, we definatley didnt want one as ropey as the 1st bus we took in Bolivia!! Sucre only has a population of 200,000 but it seems like they all come out at night, we have had some nice dinners here, and the Bolivians certainly love there fried chicken and chips, there are shops everywhere selling it. (And for so cheap!) It makes you wonder how much profit KFC actually make!
Anyway, Sucre has been the perfect place to rest after a hectic few days we have both heard good stuff about La Paz and are looking forward to getting there now.
