Hi All!

We are sat in a cafe in Dali. We caught the train from Kunming yesterday - a "hard seat", which was an experience in itself, not to mention an endurance test!! 9 hours in total but well worth it for 45Yuan (4 pound 50). We were fed for the entire journey by a Chinese mother and daughter, and in return entertained them with my card tricks!!

You may have noticed a photo has been uploaded. We spent nearly 3 hours today trying to add photos to the site but the internet is just too rubbish here! At some point we will find some way of doing this so please do not give up on us!!

Dali is so peaceful compared to the mad cities we have been used to and it's a welcome break! Yesterday as soon as we arrived we met 5 guys - 2 from Israel, 1 from Russia, 1 from Hong Kong and an Argentnian Guy - Quite a mix! We all went to dinner together and then on to a bar. We are planning on hiring some bikes and exploring a bit tomorrow. At some point we may take a trip up the mountain nearby, to help us prepare for the 2 day hike of Tiger Leaping Gorge!

Although we didn't spend long in Kunming we enjoyed it. We saw a great temple and went for a walk nearby and also saw some amazing views of the city - pictures will follow at some point!!!
