We've been back in the city for almost a week now, we've managed to rent a flat for a week which has been a welcome change from one room in hostels, we've at least managed to unpack and have more than one room to relax in, it's great. We're staying right in the middle of the Central Business district which is close to all the sights of Darling Harbour, Botanical Gardens, Opera house and Circular Quay.

We decided to avoid the tourists and spent most of last weekend doing very little then on Monday we went to the aquarium where we saw the biggest Manta Ray I've ever seen, sharks, penguins, seals and lots of marine life, Tuesday we hit the zoo, it's on an island by itself which is pretty cool, we had to get the ferry over there and then we saw all kinds animals. At the quay on the way back we even managed to see Beyonce!! She's in town as Jay Z is playing here.

Tuesday night we went to a play at the Opera house, it was A Woman In Mind, very cultured of I know, it was good to see it there but it could have been anywhere once you are inside!! Our star spotting didn't stop either as we sat in the same row as Cate Blanchett!!

Today we've done the Coogee Beach to Bondi coastal walk which is about 5.5k, it had some pretty good views and thankfully wasn't too taxing!! Tomorrow we fly to Melbourne for a couple of days before heading up the east coast. Still waiting for the sunshine though......
