Off to a poor start on the off. On my way to the tyre garage I made a fateful mistake of pulling over to ask to someone looking under their bonnet 'you alright?" So a few hours later of checking sparks, leads, distributer caps and arms, fuel lines etc and repeatedly asking "now you're sure you've got fuel?" IO decided they should burn their car so as a last resort gave them a lift to the garage with a jerry can and put fuel ion their car and hey presto it started. I think they should make assault legal in certain situations, a swift back hand should have done the job.
Okay, so we left Eden with a shiny new tyre and took the drive to Lakes Entrance. We crossed our first state border and in true Rich and Gem style we missed the sign and had to do a U-Turn to get the picture.
The transition between the states wasn't noticeable via the landscape as we were still amongst the Great Dividing Range and its rainforest. It did change however when we hit the Snowy River region where it turned into rolling hills obviously used for farming. Also, changing direction noted now heading west, mostly noticeable due to right arm considerably more tanned than left.
Got to Lakes Entrance and as expected not really an awe inspiring place it just seems to try too hard an example of this was an effort was made to make a man-made harbour, they succeeded but its a no go zone due to toxic levels of blue green algae, oh well...try again!
Campiste is adequate especially the bouncy castle off to Wilson's Prom tomorrow, fairly long drive hope you're all enjoying my verbal diarrhea.
Gem's note: Lakes Entrance is crap!
