We drove to Adealide via the Murdoch Highway merrily making 'A Team' quotes. We made a slight detour to Naracoote Cave & Fossil Centre Where I had a realisation that Aussie evolution has a very unique story. Many a creatures has existed and become extinct much to the ignorance of the rest of the world. It's ok I'm not going to make it my mission to educate! Apart from this the Drive to Adelaide was very unspectacular.Essentially just farmland and Vineyards. We had a close call on the fuel going in but stopped off in a place called Sterling to fill up. The place seemed nice but must press on!We found a campsite in close proximity to the city centre but it was late so we settled in for the night. We woke leisurely the next morning and first stop was the Haighs Chocolate factory. "Stop boring us, we don't care how it's made just give us free chocolate". Also noted a sever lack of Umpa Lumpas. After the chocolate factory we walked into the city centre through one of the parks…it was crap! River was polluted and all vegetation was dead.Further into the city thing looked a bit more promising. A late Victorian bridge welcomed us to the city centre (I've somehow developed a fascination with bridges) and I must say I was impressed. An eclectic gathering of buildings and people were going about their daily business and the girl Jones and I have come to intrude to see what this city has to offer. We tried to immerse ourselves so looked around the streets, shops etc, Jumped on the trams looking for the tourist 'hotspots'.A nice but extremely nervous lady at the Tourist Information helped us along the way. I think the best thing we can take away from Adelaide is a Harry Potter talking book we purchased ready to tackle the Nullarboor.
