WATOC-What a trip
Since the last blog many 16000kms have passed. We left Armidale after the second attempt when some 60m down the run way the engines werte cut and we turned around and we told "technical difficulties"we had a restart and being satisfied the pilot took off and we arrived at Sydney Airport approx 1hr 20mins later.
After misleading information about how to get a free shuttle to our overnight accommodation at Rydges Hotel we walked from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 and after a short wait the T bus arrived. The driver just looked and said "Rydges"yes and we hopped on no need to produce paperwork. The bus dropped us about 60m from the hotel door and a smooth check in and joining of the loyality program saw us in a two room suite with terminal and runway views but very quiet. A short 80 to the terminal and that was our dinner venue as the food court offered a wide choice.
Next morning a gain a short walk and we were in the check in line for Air Canada AC 34. That went smoothly also and we self checked by ePassport fastlane and self dropped our outwards passengers card and a quick body scan saw us with plenty of free time to have breakfast and make our way to the departure lounge and off for 15hrs20min flight.
Good movies and other programs filled the time along with food more food snacks a meal snacks and breakfast well three meals! Customs clearance wait at Vancouver was a rest after a long walk from arrivals to immigration but still time to be ontime for AC206 from Vancouver to Calgary.
Arriving around noon bags were retrieved being light weight still and we met one of our hosts Ernie and walked out of the terminal to meet the other host Leellen and off to lunch in Riverbend at A&W with savings coupons.
Home to change and off to Airdrie about 1 hour North of Calgary for tea (supper) with Megan,Jody & Wyatt a lovely home cooked pulled beef burger with fresh salad and home made BBQ sauce and home cooked Blue berries with whipped cream and Angel cake.
Next day saw us again out for tea (supper) at Xan Mongolie Grill with old (not age) Friends John & Margaret.
The next day today June 10 was an early start to meet up Jody & Wyatt for a day at Calgary Zoo. (some where in between we managed a return trip to Airdrie in the Mustang with the roof down as it was a summer day in Calgary) after the Zoo which is most interesting after a 20yr absence for me. A trip into town and we located The Old Spaghetti Factory with Margaret & a New Zealand now living in Calgary friend before coming home for relaxation before a 5hr flight coming up Saturday (well thats only in the morning really)

mhier It makes me feel tired hearing your story would be lovely with warm weather as it's cold and damp here, but then we need more rain ☔ so can't complain all going well here
