We arrived in Edith Falls in the Nitmiluk National Park early in the morning. It was already over 30 degrees and we were looking to have a swim. From Lake Argyle on Monday the 15th of June we headed west passing into the Northern Territory. The following day we made our way to Lake Argyle and checked in at the Lake Argyle Caravan Park. There isn't much free camping in this area. We left the Bungle Bungle Ranges and headed to Kununurra. Kununurra has a population of around 7,500 people. It has only been around since 1961 and was formed due to the construction of the Ord Irrigation Scheme. It's a really nice place to be at because by the time you get here you've had enough of the red dirt and dust, and here there is so much water.
