We set off for Kings Canyon arriving around 9.30am from our free camp. It was reasonably cold but we all knew not to rug up as we would soon be working up a sweat. On Saturday the 4th of July we followed Julian and his family out to Kata Tjuta, (The Olgas). The Olgas are a group of large domed rock formations and like Ayres Rock are found within the Uluru / Kata Tjuta National Park. We arrived at the tourist town of Yulara on Thursday the 2nd of July. The caravan park was completely booked out but we were able to get into the overflow park (dirt paddock) at the back of the park.
