Colleen & Tom's Explorations
The seas were rough during our World Club party but quietened down after that - very calm when we woke latish this morning.
We joined a trivia team which was fun, then I went to a Steiner beauty talk. Tom was doing Origami.
After lunch we went along to the Art Auction - the man running it said nor more raffles because someone complained about the cost of postage - I sympathised with them and told them I had my heart set on the Picot, so he said if I bought a painting today I could have the Picot - so we did!!! We now have 4 pieces going home, for the cost of one!!
Then I went along to the talk by Mary Higgins Clarke - Tom went and watched "To Kill a Mockingbird" in our cabin. I also bought one of Mary's books and got her autograph.
Tom and I went up to watch our progress through the Gibraltar Straits - it was so interesting - a really strange light (7pm), Africa on 1 side, Spain and Gibraltar (UK) on the other.... lots of ferry traffic. We stopped watching at about 8.30pm and raced down to change for dinner, just making it by 9pm (last orders). So, we've left the Mediterranean and are out in the wild Atlantic!
When we returned from dinner, there was an envelope under our door - invitation to the Officer's Ward Room for cocktails tomorrow night.
