Colleen & Tom's Explorations
We really took it easy today. Our biggest chores were menu choices. We had a leisurely Sunday breakfast up at the long pavilion and then made our way into town to buy a Sunday paper, then we returned to relax and read in our pavilion. We went out at about 1pm, having decided to have lunch at One Tree Hill - lunch being an assortment of dips with crudités and Turkish bread, washed down with a glass of bubbly. It was lovely there, overlooking Whitsunday Island and watching a wallaby nibbling on the grass. We returned to our pavilion for some more reading and a nap, before deciding to go to Manta Ray for dinner. Pizzas by the marina, washed down with Wild Oats Shiraz, in homage to Bob Oatley who had the vision and ability to build qualia and make Hamilton Island what it is today. After our lovely dinner we drove down to Trader Micks where we bought ego ice creams (which we ate by the marina) and a fridge magnet (my only souvenir, apart from my awesome memories). We returned home to our pavilion to watch telly and rest some more. And lament over the coming end to our wonderful sojourn.
