Colleen & Tom's Explorations
This morning we drove up to the Long Pavilion in our buggy for breakfast. I had the most wonderful grilled asparagus with red caviar, pink grapefruit and hollandaise sauce. Tom had Eggs Benedict which he said was really nice. After brekky we drove around the resort, exploring. We went down to Pebble Beach and a really interesting man came over and chatted to us. He is a pool technician and has over 30 pools in qualia to maintain. He's a butcher by trade and used to work over in the Middle East. We then returned to our pavilion and did some quiet reading until it was time to drive off to town for some lunch. We found the tavern overlooking the marina. I had beer battered flathead with chips and Tom had a penne boscaiola. After that we drove around the island exploring. We found the entrance to what used to be George Harrison's home. It's owned by some Melbourne businessman. On our return to the pavilion we decided to go for a swim before retiring for afternoon naps. When we awoke it was time to get organised for our sunset cocktail cruise. We met up in the Long Pavilion where we were taken by van down to the marina to board qualia's own craft, Atomic. We then cruised around for an hour and a half or so with 3 other couples, being plied with more French champagne, oysters, prawns, meats, nuts and cheeses. We even saw whales. 'Twas lovely. We returned to our pavilion for the evening, not needing any dinner!
